Welcome to Blockology

Blockology is a community of volunteer directors and residents involved in managing leasehold blocks in England & Wales. Most members are unpaid volunteers — often RMC or RTM directors — who are responsible for their buildings either by self-managing or by overseeing a managing agent. The community exists to share practical knowledge, lived experience, and lessons learned from dealing with the realities of leasehold block management.

Visit the community

Discussions cover everyday issues such as service charges, Section 20 consultations, working with managing agents and contractors, compliance with leases and legislation, and the challenges of running a block as a group of non-professionals.

Built for volunteer directors and residents.

Blockology is not a forum for managing agents or property professionals offering services. It is a peer-to-peer space for ordinary people taking on real legal and financial responsibilities, often for the first time, and looking to learn from others in similar positions. The aim is simple: to make managing leasehold blocks less isolating, less confusing, and less error-prone by sharing knowledge openly and constructively.
